- 1 litre of Whole Milk (4 cups)
- 4 eggs
- 3 pouches of Active Dry Yeast (1/4 oz per pouch)
- 2 sticks of butter (1 stick=4oz), melted
- 4 deci liter of sugar (400 ml)
- 4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 stick (or 4g) of Kardemum (Cardemom)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 bag (5 lb) All purpose flour (will use almost all)
- Ground Cinnamon
- Pearl Sugar to sprinkle on top
Steps:
- Heat milk until it's 37c (98.5 Fahrenheit)
- Mix eggs together. Add vanilla extract
- Pour warm milk in a big bowl. Mix with sugar & salt. Add Eggs mixed above, and Cardemom.
- Pour flour & yeast and melted butter, a little bit at a time. Mix everything by hand
- repeat step 3 until the texture is right (batch almost fall off fingers). That should be about almost the whole bag of flour.
- Leave it for 2-3 hours for the dough to rise. If needed faster, place the bowl in warm water. Let it rise 3 times.
To Roll:
- Sprinkle a handful of flour on the surface of table. Take 2 handful of dough, and roll it with the rolling pin until it forms to a square shape. Use more flour if the dough is too sticky/soft.
- Paste melt butter on top. Then sprinke ground cinamon & sugar.
- fold in half. Then cut and twist or roll in any shape.
Bake:
- Brush top with eggs, then sprinkle with Pearl sugar
- Bake with 380F, for about 12-15 minutes
